DESCRIPTION

DSynchronize is a free util that let you sync two or more folders in a LAN.

The software compare every "Source" folder with respective "Destination" folder, then it modify "Destination" folder (adding, updating or deleting files and subfolders) so that "Destination" becomes equal to "Source".

Supports multiple filters (divided by ";") as *.exe;*.txt etc.

Really intuitive software!

On Windows NT4 it is necessary IE4 or better.

OPTIONS

"AutoStart"
Execute DSynchronize at system startup (so, with timing options, is possible to let DSynchronize care about everything, being completely automatic)

"Save on exit"
Saves every setting, included "Source" and "Destination" paths

"AntiFragmentation"
Reduces disk fragmentation: deletes all files that have to be replaced and then replaced with new copies (before the holes, then the fill in ;-).
With this option active you loose distinction among replaced and added files (replaced files will figure in added files).

"Timer Sync"
Execute an automatic sync every "n" minutes/hours or, if you want, every day at the specified time. It is also possible to select or exclude one or more day(s) of the week/month

"Shutdown at the end (of operations)"
Shutdown the PC at the end of sync operations

"Create destination folder if it does not exists"
If destination folder does not exists, DSynchronize creates one with that name

"Add date to destination folder"
Adds date to destination folder, so, for example: "C:\DestinationFolder" becomes "C:\DestinationFolder 18-07-2004 22.30". This is intended to create different backups with a date/time information

"Only more recent files"
Replace a file in "Destination" only if the file in "Source" is more recent

"Bidirectional sync"
Permit to syncronize more recent files from both source and destination folders (then you have two equal folders with more recent files from both)

Remaining options are self-explaining :-)
